The Principle of Rhythm
I often find myself appreciating the synchronicity between my life and the book that the Hermetic Qabalah Self-Study (HQSS) group is studying at the time. Presently we are reading The Kybalion. This book is helping me stay calm by refreshing me on the key principles about life on this planet. One of the principles is Rhythm, the sacred movement or dance between the two poles of energy. Think of a
pendulum on a grandfather clock, or the swing you had fun on recently ~ one is never too old!
All great movements of humankind have their ebb and flow. Remember over a year and a half ago when Pluto went into Aquarius on January 20, 2024? I shared with you later that June how this meant that Earth was entering a period of renovation on all
levels. Pluto in Aquarius represents all that exists beneath the surface of life. It builds tremendous pressure from below until it is released. Pluto reveals what is at stake and does it with a “wrecking ball” (thank you, Aliza Kelly). It would have been SO nice if that renovation had only taken a year and a half, but, alas…we “get it” now that this is truly just the start of a very-long-haul.
I have concluded that when Pluto moved into Aquarius, it began it’s work to balance things out. Meaning that the rhythm of the pendulum of higher consciousness had swung as
far as it could for our times; the limit of what our species could absorb today. The principle of rhythm indicates that now the pendulum has to swing in reverse to the other pole. A light worker’s job now is to hold the center of what we have accomplished.
When I look at the Big Picture, Earth reached a zenith in 2024 in it’s work to grow democracy, compassion and the value
of diversity. In the last 284 years, people like you and I created a wave of higher consciousness…an energetic renaissance of sort. However, no zenith can be preserved forever, and we now will experience the natural reaction to that progress. The pendulum swings in the other direction.
Yet, the pendulum does not have to swing ALL the way to the other side if we
put GRAVITY to the center!
We can hold that gravity in many ways. For one, by remembering that there’s still plenty of high consciousness light shining on everything. We can easily see the lower consciousness behavior and oppose it, promoting higher consciousness. We can be glad for
how we brought Earth to this point, and also prepare for some decline.
Yes, decline comes with heartbreak. My latest grief is the closing of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), funders of PBS and NPR. I recall the fall of empires and the aging of our heroes and sheroes, and reflect on what I can learn from them for my use today.
I know you are asking yourself “How can I personally prepare?” Create a plan and act gradually. Watch the pace of the decline and match it with your opposition. How do we hold the center of gravity? As I’ve shared before…
• Remember the BIG picture (Pluto in Aquarius – decline first, then rebuild BETTER)
• Shepherd in the END vision (The Divine Within you)
• Get comfortable with the Uncomfortable (Spiritual Maturity)
… and do all of this amid chaos and
instability.
Gather with other kindred Souls to hold the Center in both visible and invisible ways. Recognize the enlightened age we have nurtured into being. We are still heading towards the Aquarian vision of even higher levels of independence, humanitarianism and progressive thinking. Have we created the perfect foundation for this?
