Hi ,
As a young, pioneering woman, my first profession was law enforcement. You may be surprised to hear this, but it's true. If I still were wearing the uniform, I'd be joining these fellow officers shown above.
In addition to this, I am proud to share that I have a Latino brother-in-law IN law enforcement today! Camino a seguir, Lider!
The Tree of Life Sanctuary is all about inclusiveness and raising consciousness. It's tough work sorely needed right now. That being said, I'll be very brief here....
- It's about time!
- Plain and simple: Black Lives Matter.
- While we aren't clear on the solutions yet, we are asking good questions.
- We as a species can do better. Our fellow Black and Brown humans depend on it!
Our affiliate, iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) CEO, Joan Ryan, offers some wise advise,
regardless of the form in which you serve the Light...
Many are wondering, “As a coach, what can I do right now?” Again, who do you want to be today? For starters, we encourage you to:
- Call and reach out to any Black and Brown friends. Let them know they are loved and supported.
- Remember that you are always leading, either intentionally or unintentionally. How are you leading? Showing up? Speaking up? And doing the inner work to dismantle systemic racial injustice?
- Consider what it means for you to lead with your heart right now and lead with compassion.
- Take time to actively listen and hold space for others as they share experiences, face their own questions, and figure out how they want to show up going forward—just as we, inside the coach community, want to do for ourselves and each other.
Remember, , as difficult as the days are now, TRULY ~ you and I were made for these times!

Community Note from the Tree of Life Sanctuary re Covid-19:
To protect our most vulnerable population members, wash your hands often for 20 seconds or more. Use hand sanitizer when you are not able to wash with soap and water. Particularly if you have touched a common implement, such as an ATM, gas pump or CC machine at a store. When out of your home doing essential errands, consider wearing a mask. Keep your hands off of your face, ears and eyes as much as possible.
People unconsciously touch their face involuntarily up to 90x's a day! And lastly, please call your medical professional if you believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.
